Jane Durham

Jane believed in lifelong learning and earned an additional bachelor degree in Animal Science from Oklahoma State University in 1980. She applied this knowledge toward the operation of the Hereford cattle ranch she and Norman established in 1969. She actively pursued new information related to the Hereford breed, and implemented the use of performance data to drive continuous improvement for their herd.

While raising Hereford cattle, Jane was heavily involved in the National Hereford Women Association and the Oklahoma Hereford Women Association. She joined the Oklahoma Pollettes Association around 1974 and the National Pollettes Association around 1983, where she served as Chairwoman on both. Not only did she serve on the OHW board, she also served on the OHA board from 2009 to 2015.

She was a wonderful example of a strong, smart, and loving woman to everyone around her and had a true dedication to the Hereford Breed.
